Funding for Community Greenspaces (UK)

The Sita Trust is accepting applications under its new “GreenPrints” programme. Under the programme, not-for profit organisations with community greenspace projects designed and delivered by groups of volunteers aged 16 to 25, can apply for funding of up to £10,000. Projects can last for up to 6 months and should focus on improving a community greenspaces for the local community and wildlife. The type of activities that can be funded include; creating disabled access to a park; planting or cropping trees in a public woodland; building a community sculpture on a cycle track; cutting new pathways and installing information boards alongside a river; and building a pond to create a new habitat for fish and insects, etc. Eligible projects need to be located within 10 miles of an active landfill site. There is a two stage application process and initial first stage applications can be submitted at any time….
